Description:

This workshop will be a guided hands-on tour of the FNS Cloud. The FNS-Cloud project is developing an infrastructure and services to exploit food, nutrition and security data for a range of purposes, and integrate with the European Open Science Cloud, this is the actual FNS Cloud. Existing FNS resources (data, knowledge and tools) for health and agri-food sciences are fragmented, lack critical mass, and access by user communities is ‘unevenly’ distributed. This means these data are not FAIR readily Found, Accessible, Interoperable or Reusable and the FNS Cloud will address that. Workshop participants will be guided through four researcher journeys in the FNS Cloud: searching for data on Food Intake, Food Labelling, Food Traceability and Microbiome. We will work through the Cloud together to find predetermined datasets, tools and resources and participants will then be encouraged to pose their own research questions and use the Cloud to look for solutions. Participation is limited to 15 so that facilitators can work closely with participants. You must come with your own laptop.
